da brwin: The young attacker is a player on the rise, and her goal on Monday will only help her case as she pushes for a bigger role.
da cassino online: It felt storybook, really… almost too good to be true. Playing in front of her hometown crowd in just her fourth U.S. women's national team cap, the ball was always going to fall to Jaedyn Shaw, wasn't it? Well, it did and Shaw made no mistake. A hometown goal for the teenage sensation, and a winning one at that! Who could have written it any better?
That's the thing about Shaw, though: even this early in her career, she isn't shaken by these moments. Her first goal? In San Diego in front of her club's fans. Her second? Just two buildings away from where she grew up. She's just 19 with less than one full year of professional experience under her belt but, with the Olympics looming, Shaw keeps on making her case to be involved next summer.
In the end, it was a 2-1 win for the U.S., who made it two wins from two against China PR this week. Shaw's goal was the headliner, and she was joined by another Olympic hopeful, Sam Coffey, on the scoresheet as both helped their cases, and both proved vital to a USWNT win in their final game of 2023.
GOAL rates USWNT players from Toyota Stadium…
USA Today SportsGoalkeeper & Defense
Aubrey Kingsbury (5/10):
Could argue she should have done better on the goal, but didn't have much to do other than that to redeem herself.
Jenna Nighswonger (7/10):
Looked pretty solid in her first USWNT start. USWNT would have liked to have gotten her the ball more in dangerous situations but, overall, one that'll help her stock.
Tierna Davidson(6/10):
Misread the ball on the goal, but was totally solid otherwise.
Naomi Girma (7/10):
Composed as always. Chased down a few longballs and kept things tight defensively.
Emily Fox (6/10):
Unfortunately, was absolutely battered in the first half before being taken out of the second due to concussion protocol. A rough outing physically for the defender, who couldn't be herself after taking so many hits

Emily Sonnett (7/10):
Got the assist on the goal and was otherwise solid defensively. Midfield was a bit disjointed at times going forward, but that's not her fault as the U.S. went with two No.6s
Sam Coffey (8/10):
The goalscorer, and a surprising one, at that! It was a composed and well-placed finish from the midfielder, who is way better at preventing goals than scoring them. She did both in this game, only helping her case ahead of the Olympics.
Lindsey Horan (7/10):
A solid day for the USWNT captain, who was plenty active, particularly in the first half. Had a goal ruled out for offside, unfortunately for her, but, overall, about what you'd expect.

Jaedyn Shaw (8/10):
What a moment for the teenager. Playing in front of a hometown crowd, Shaw scored the USWNT's second and final goal. Generally, Shaw's presence was definitely felt, even if not everything came off. Eventually, she was rewarded, though, with a memorable goal.
Ashley Hatch (6/10):
Plenty of effort and got into dangerous places, but never quite had the end product. Unfortunately, that's been her story with the USWNT as Hatch really could have used a goal here.
Lynn Williams (5/10):
Never quite got going. Wasn't the performance she needed in her fight to hold off the young guns for an Olympic spot.

Midge Purce (6/10):
So, so silky on the ball. Came on at wingback to replace Fox, and you can definitely see what she adds from that spot.
Sophia Smith (7/10):
Got the assist on Shaw's goal. Wasn't quite as dynamic as she was over the weekend, but still provided a lift to an attack that needed it.
Trinity Rodman (6/10):
Had one good chance late, but couldn't put it away. Not quite at her best off the bench but, hey, it happens.
Korbin Albert (6/10):
Came on for her USWNT debut and immediately got smashed in the face. The PSG youngster shook it off, though, and had some good moments on what will be a memorable night.
Olivia Moultrie (6/10):
Another cap, another good experience for Moultrie, who will definitely be benefitting from these minutes.
Alyssa Thompson (N/A):
Came on late to add a bit more life to the game.
Twila Kilgore (7/10):
Shook things up with her starting XI and then made the right changes at the half when it didn't work. Youngsters played, and thrived, so all is good!
