Eriksson receives visit from Beckham in SwedenBrought along six litres of wine with special datesAlso sent a chef to make a special mealGettyWHAT HAPPENED?
Earlier this year, Eriksson revealed that he had received news that he was terminally after being diganosed with cancer and given a year to live. He revealed in an interview with Swedish radio channel P4 Varmland that Beckham has since visited him and brought along six litres of wine as well as a chef ahead to prepare a special meal.

Speaking to the radio station, the 76-year-old said: "He came with six litres of wine from dates that were important to me. He had wine from 1948 – the year I was born, very nice of him. He is genuine, he could have been a big diva, but he is quite the opposite.
"He ate herring and potatoes and elk meat. The previous day he had sent a chef who fixed the food, and then he came and was here for a day. We sat chatting, a lot about football.
"It confirms, in a way, how great he is. He didn’t have to come here. I felt proud that he came."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Eriksson's illustrious management career included stints at IFK Gothenburg, Benfica, Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Lazio, Manchester City, and Leicester City. The most notable period of Eriksson's career, though, was spent managing the "golden generation" of England's national team with players like Beckham, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard among others.
GETTING TO FULFIL HIS DREAM
Eriksson had revealed earlier in the year that his biggest regret was that he couldn't take charge of Liverpool. However, in March, he was given the opportunity to act as the manager of the Liverpool Legends team during their friendly against Ajax Legends at Anfield.
